Very rarely do I come across a mystery novel where I haven't figured out who did it before the last few pages. Not so with Mr. Cliff's "The Shoulders of Giants." His plot development, complete with numerous twists and turns kept me throughly engrossed (and up past by bedtime several nights!)

I found myself (at times) reading this book in the style of Philip Marlowe - without realizing. Plenty of intrigue with a heart stopping finale - it kept me guessing til the end.
